  • Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market Offers Free Space for Non-Profits

    GULFPORT, FL:  The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market continues its program of offering one free vendor space each week for community non-profit organizations.  The Fresh Market is a year-round event, attracting hundreds of visitors each week.  Groups may use the space to provide free information, promote and sell tickets to upcoming events, offer community outreach, raise funds, or sell items for fund-raising.  Any items to be sold must be pre-approved by Market managers.  All funds raised in any manner must be for the benefit of the non-profit organization, rather than any individual(s) or for-profit entity.

    The free space for non-profits is currently being scheduled and any interested and qualified non-profit groups may apply to use the space as available in upcoming weeks and months.  Non-profits that have made use of the space in recent months include library boosters, historical societies, environmental advocacy groups, community health organizers, art and theatre groups, veterans’ groups, animal rescue organizations and many others.

    The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market is an open-air market held in Gulfport’s Waterfront District on Beach Blvd. below 29th Ave. South.   • GULFPORT TUESDAY FRESH MARKET OPEN JULY 4TH

    The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market will be operating their regular hours, 9a-2pm, on July 4th. Start your Independence Day by supporting the independent business owners at the market and along the streets of Gulfport. Make a day of it by shopping the market, shops, boutiques, and restaurants. End your day with one of our stunning sunsets followed by Gulfport’s outstanding fireworks display.

    The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market occurs year round, every Tuesday in Gulfport’s Waterfront Arts District. This outdoor market supports over 70 vendors, some of them “working while you watch”, adding to the excitement for visitors. Gulfport is known for its independent shops, boutiques and restaurants, all within walking distance of this open-air market.

  • Keep Calm and Swap On – July 11 in Gulfport

    Gulfport, FL.: Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market’s popular “Clothing Swap” is held the second Tuesday of every month, the next being July 11, 2017. Brought to you by the Gulfport Merchants Association, the Clothing Swap is held in the courtyard at the Historic Peninsula Inn located at 2937 Beach Blvd S from 9am-1pm.

    Participants are invited to bring up to five gently used garments to exchange for vouchers that may be used to select up to five items of clothing donated by other participants. Clothing may be for women, men or children. Gently used shoes and accessories are also accepted. Please provide plastic hangers for all garments to be used in the swap. One-item vouchers may also be purchased for $3 each.

    Donations above the 5-garment swap limit are accepted but must be contained in a bag or box, and anything above three bags of clothing should be donated directly to the CASA St. Petersburg thrift store.

    Cash donations are also accepted at the Swap. All cash collected, donated clothing, and non-selected garments at the end of the swap will be donated to Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA). CASA is a local non-profit organization providing services to survivors of abuse or violence.

  • Gulfport Fresh Market to Host Blood Drive and Clothing Swap

    GULFPORT, FL:  We survived another summer (although it’s not any cooler in September) and while other markets close for the summer, Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market is open year round.  We have fewer vendors and smaller crowds, but we’re not just a market – We are a community.

    With the arrival of the fall season comes the arrival of our vendors who headed north for the summer.  Soon the market will be bustling with shoppers and more booths.

    The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market will be hosting a blood drive on Sep.13th from 1030am to 1230pm.  One Blood of Pinellas County will have the Big Red Bus parked at the Gulfport Library.  38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate, however only 5% do on a yearly basis. Please show your support and donate blood.

    Also on Sep.13 is our popular Clothing Swap.  “Clothing Swap” is held the second Tuesday of every month.  Brought to you by the Gulfport Merchants Association, and managed by Linda Worsham, The Clothing Swap is held in the courtyard at The Historic Peninsula Inn located at 2937 Beach Blvd S from 9am-1pm.

Large quantities beyond three bags of clothing, should be donated directly at the CASA thrift store.
